Description

Juicy burgers topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 oz fresh cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Chop onions and slice mushrooms.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter or oil. Sauté mushrooms with salt until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties slightly larger than the buns.
  4. Grill patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side; add cheese during the last minute to melt.
  5. Toast burger buns until golden brown.
  6. Assemble burgers by layering lettuce (optional), the patty with mushrooms and melted cheese on each bun.

Notes

  • Feel free to add additional toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles.
