Description

Delicious festive cookies made with cream cheese, white chocolate, and colorful sprinkles, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Salted Butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 large Eggs, cold
  • 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Purple, Green, and Gold Sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup Purple, Green, and Gold Sanding Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 410°F (210°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the cold salted butter with granulated and brown sugars in a mixer for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cold eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition followed by the vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture gradually with the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the cold cream cheese chunks, white chocolate chips, and festive sprinkles.
  7. Scoop and divide the dough into tall mounds, about 5-6 oz each, on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Sprinkle sanding sugar generously on top of each mound.
  9. Bake for 9-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly underdone.
  10. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for about 30 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes

  • Ensure that the butter and cream cheese are cold for a better texture.
  • Can substitute light brown sugar with any variety you have on hand.
  • Feel free to adjust the cinnamon and nutmeg to your taste.
  • For nut allergies, omit almond extract and add more vanilla extract.
