Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pitted and chopped cherries (fresh or canned)
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter and eggs until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly; melt chocolate chips with heavy cream over low heat until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars before slicing.
