Ingredients

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 taco shells (soft flour or crunchy corn)
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey for about 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and half a cup of water; simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Fill taco shells with the turkey mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Place filled tacos in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or other toppings.
