Description

Delicious and easy-to-make chocolate Oreo protein balls that are perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 12 cookies)
  • ½ cup vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all the necessary ingredients and tools.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract together until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly incorporated into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Gradually add the vanilla protein powder, stirring until the mixture becomes thick and well combined. If desired, mix in the powdered sugar for added sweetness.
  5. Using your hands or a scoop, form small balls of the mixture, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. If desired, melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. Dip each protein ball in the melted chocolate, then return to the parchment-lined sheet to set.
  8. Once hardened, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

  • These protein balls are a great source of quick energy and can be customized with different mix-ins if desired.
  • To make them healthier, you can reduce or omit the powdered sugar.
