Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 12 cookies)
- ½ cup vanilla protein powder
- ¼ cup powdered sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
- Gather all the necessary ingredients and tools.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract together until smooth.
- Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly incorporated into the cream cheese mixture.
- Gradually add the vanilla protein powder, stirring until the mixture becomes thick and well combined. If desired, mix in the powdered sugar for added sweetness.
- Using your hands or a scoop, form small balls of the mixture, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- If desired, melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. Dip each protein ball in the melted chocolate, then return to the parchment-lined sheet to set.
- Once hardened, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
- These protein balls are a great source of quick energy and can be customized with different mix-ins if desired.
- To make them healthier, you can reduce or omit the powdered sugar.
