Description

A delicious layered dessert featuring a pretzel crust, creamy filling, and cherry topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
  • 42 oz cherry pie filling (2 cans, 21 oz each)
  • Optional: maraschino cherries, fresh mint leaves, extra crushed pretzels, or chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar until combined. Press into a 9×13-inch pan to form crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust, reaching all edges.
  3. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the creamy layer. Spread gently without disturbing the layer underneath.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
  5. Slice and garnish with maraschino cherries, mint leaves, or extra pretzels/pecans as desired.
