  • 8 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • In a large bowl, toss the baby potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
    • Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  2. Cook the Mushrooms:
    • In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    • Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown.
    • Stir in the butter and Worcestershire sauce, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Make the Burger Patties:
    • Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
    • Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the Burgers:
    • In a heated skillet or grill, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
    • Place two slices of cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
  5. Assemble the Dish:
    • Place the cooked patties on a serving platter.
    • Top with sautéed mushrooms.
    • Add roasted potatoes around the burgers.
  6. Garnish:
    • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for garnish.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the burger patties in Worcestershire sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Use a mix of mushrooms like cremini and button for a richer taste.
  • To ensure even roasting, cut larger potatoes into smaller pieces to match the size of smaller potatoes.
