A delicious rice-based bread, perfect for any meal!
Ingredients
Scale
- 350 grams rice (I used short grain Italian)
- 200 millilitres warm water (warm not hot)
- 5 grams salt
- 7 grams active dry yeast
- 20 grams honey
- 30 grams avocado oil (any will work)
Instructions
- Soak the rice in water overnight.
- In the morning, drain and discard the soaking water.
- In your blender, combine the warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until foamy.
- Add the soaked rice, salt, and oil to the blender. Blend until smooth and fully combined. The mixture should feel smooth, not grainy.
- Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Let it rest at room temperature for 1 hour to rise.
- Place the pan in a cold oven, then bake at 350F (175C) for 30-40 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
- Let it rest, and enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure the water is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- Letting the bread rest before slicing will improve the texture.
