- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess fat and transfer to the crockpot.
- Add chopped onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, drained beans, diced tomatoes (with juices), chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper into the crockpot.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until flavors meld together.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
