Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess fat and transfer to the crockpot.
  2. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, drained beans, diced tomatoes (with juices), chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper into the crockpot.
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until flavors meld together.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
