Description
Tender chicken cooked in a rich gravy, perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 packets chicken gravy mix
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup sour cream or heavy cream (optional)
- Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and thyme.
- Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker or leave whole.
- Stir in sour cream or heavy cream if using, and allow it to warm for 5–10 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared in advance and reheats well.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the slow cooker for a complete meal.
