A delicious BBQ chicken pizza that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high (375°F/190°C) and roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and grill them for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Let rest before slicing.
- Combine BBQ sauce and olive oil in a bowl; mix well.
- Spread the BBQ mixture over the rolled-out dough, leaving a half-inch border for the crust. Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Layer sliced grilled chicken and red onion on top, then add another sprinkle of cheese.
- Transfer the pizza onto the grill using a pizza stone or directly on the grates. Close the lid and grill for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- For a homemade BBQ sauce, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and spices to your taste.
- Feel free to add other toppings like bell peppers or jalapeños for added flavor.
