Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place your popover pan or muffin tin inside to heat up.
- In a blender or mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, melted butter, flour, and salt. Blend until completely smooth. Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes.
- Carefully remove the hot pan from the oven and grease each cup with butter or non-stick spray.
- Fill each cup halfway with the batter. Work quickly to maintain pan heat.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 450°F, then reduce heat to 350°F (177°C) and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Do not open the oven door.
- Remove from oven and poke a small hole in each popover to release steam. Serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with butter or jam for a delicious treat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
