Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Gradually add eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until blended.
  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the red and green sprinkles gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smooth the top, and add optional toppings.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
