Description

A delicious and creamy dish featuring tender chicken patties topped with crumbled bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Patties: In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into patties.
  2. Cook the Bacon: Cook the bacon in a pan until crispy. Remove and crumble the bacon pieces, setting them aside.
  3. Fry the Patties: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for a minute to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream until the sauce is smooth. Add salt, pepper, and parsley to taste.
  5. Assemble the Dish: Place the cooked patties on a plate. Pour the cream sauce over the patties. Top with crumbled bacon pieces.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce while cooking.
  • If you prefer a lighter option, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Serve the patties with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Adjust seasoning in the sauce as per your taste preference, trying other herbs like thyme or rosemary.
