Description

Delicious apple cinnamon wraps, perfect for a warm dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (Mix of sweet and tart apples recommended.)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch salt
  • 2 large flour tortillas (Whole wheat or corn tortillas can be used as alternatives.)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (Divide into two tablespoons for cooking.)
  • To taste additional brown sugar for dusting (Optional for extra sweetness.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine thinly sliced apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the apple mixture and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the apples are slightly softened and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Lay out one tortilla on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the apple filling onto the center of the tortilla. Roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat with the second tortilla.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Place the wrapped tortillas seam-side down on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining brown sugar with melted butter until smooth. Drizzle over the cooked wraps.
  6. Slice the wraps diagonally. If desired, sprinkle with additional brown sugar for extra sweetness. Enjoy while warm!

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using a combination of sweet apples like Honeycrisp and tart apples like Granny Smith.
  • Serve with a side of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
